Hi everyone! Have you ever wondered what it would be like to immerse yourself in a week dedicated to mindfulness and mental health in a picturesque Greek village? Well, that's exactly what we did as part of the "Mindfulness for you(th)" youth exchange with GO Alive.
A group of young people from our youth association joined others coming from Estonia, Portugal, Italy and, of course, the host country, Greece. This is not the first time we have participated in an Erasmus+ project with the host association, which ensured us an exceptional experience from the very beginning.
We found ourselves in Eani, a charming village near the historic Greek city of Kozani. For a full week, we immersed ourselves in a world of learning about mindfulness and how it positively affects our mental health.
Our Spanish team was led by Paula, an exceptional leader who not only guided the group during the exchange but also participated in a preparatory visit with the leaders of each country the month before. In addition, we were lucky enough to explore Athens before diving into the main experience!
Let's talk about the testimonies of some of our Spanish participants:
Mireya: "I feel very grateful for the experience I lived a few weeks ago thanks to this organization. I participated in an Erasmus+ on Mindfulness, a topic that touches us all and is very useful to learn to manage our emotions, to live the days with joy and above all to be aware of the present we live!!!! We lived with 35 people very different and similar at the same time, we tightened great bonds and learned a lot about other countries and their cultures."
David: "The best part of the project has been meeting very interesting and different people, and visiting places that I would never have seen otherwise. I take with me all the tools we learned about mindfulness, energizers.... I have learned many exercises and activities that I am already applying in my daily life, and that I hope to be able to apply in future projects."
Paula: "The most special thing about the project was the group itself. All the participants connected from the first day, the good atmosphere and the camaraderie made it an unforgettable experience. Thanks to the peer workshops and the aforementioned atmosphere, we were able to connect more and learn more about ourselves."
It only remains for us to thank all of you who made this new #erasmusplus experience possible. Until the next adventure! Τα λέμε σύντομα!
