During the month of September we hosted an #erasmusplus Training Course in such a special setting as Peñalba de Santiago. On this occasion, 16 youth workers and educators from Turkey, Hungary and Estonia joined our team in a project focused on rural entrepreneurship and the creation of new educational methodologies for the promotion and development of rural areas like ours. All this based on real examples in this mystical and special place: the Tebaida Berciana.
This time we want the protagonists of the experience to tell you what this week of training and learning has been like, so without further ado, we leave you with the testimonies of some of the participants:
"A wonderful, unique and complete experience in which we have worked on topics such as business development in rural areas. If you are hesitating to do a training with Valdeorras Vive, don't think twice." - Tamara Luis (Ciudad Rodrigo, Spain)
An amazing experience! A luxury stay, with well planned activities, from hikes to guided tours. The workshops were very useful and the information very clear." - Ilja Nikolajev (Tallinn, Estonia)
"I 100% recommend the Erasmus+ program to all young people looking for international opportunities and personal growth. Once you embark on this adventure you will want to repeat." - Aleksandr Maeots (Tallinn, Estonia)
"An amazing youth organization! It has been a unique experience to be able to participate in this Valdeorras Vive Training Course! I recommend this organization to everyone, I came to the program with the objective of having a clear vision about entrepreneurship in rural areas and I can say that it has helped me a lot to visualize my future projects. In addition, I have learned a lot about youth organizations and how these types of programs work." - Uxue Iruretagoyena (Álava, Spain)
Tebaida Berciana: innovative ideas for a rural future is an Erasmus+ training course approved and co-financed by the European Commission through the Spanish Youth Institute (INJUVE).
THANK YOU once again to all of you who made it possible: to the partner associations (Ethos MTÜ from Estonia, KIYIDOSK from Turkey and Európa Ifjúsága Egyesület from Hungary) to the City Council of Ponferrada for their support, as well as to the Real Fundación del Hospital de la Reina through the Genadii Project for providing us with the use of the facilities of the Espacio Genadii de Peñalba.
See you in the next adventure together!
